Movies based on beloved childhood stories are always a pleasure to watch. This movie is no exception. Based on a series of books that have made it to video and had a television series based on it and now Universal Pictures have decided to take the big leap and turn it into a movie. The work on the project began in May of 2012 with both Universal and Illumination pictures jumping on to the project. Illumination, however, dropped out but Universal stayed on even pegging David Bowers to direct the flick. The English animator has worked on a number of projects including Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Flushed Away. The movie is set to be released on April 8^th 2016.

Clifford was born the runt of the litter, small and insignificant until Emily came along. Due to his size he was deemed suitable for city living however, thanks to the love and attention given to him by Emily the red puppy grew. Clifford grew to an impressive 25 feet tall. His size forces the family to leave the city and go to the wide open spaces of the country. Much like curious George Clifford has a host of other books putting him in different situations like Clifford's Thanksgiving Visit and Clifford's First Christmas. Whether the movie will choose to pick form one of these stories or a whole new plot will be adopted is still not clear.

The movie will certainly be on the diary of millions of children across the world because of its young and innocent theme. Clifford is set to be the only animated character in the movie immersed in the real world no doubt for lack of 25 foot red dogs. The movie is also set to be 3D so we are looking at good clean fun on April 8^th2016.
