Zootopia Movie Release Date, Reveals, Review, Plot, Rumors and Updates: Movie Set for a March 4^th 2016 Release

Walt Disney is definitely the kings of Animation and over time they have been able to stay relevant. The animation powerhouse has definitely slowed sown in the animation department but that's not to say that what they produce is not top notch. With the entry of studios like Pixar and DreamWorks Disney has had to up their game and I believe that the animation Zootopia will be one of those projects that proves that Disney is still the king. The movie directed by Byron Howard who worked on both Bolt and Tangled and written by Jared Bush. It is set for a March 4^th 2016 release.

The story is about a fast talking fox who lives in a town called Zootopia who finds himself framed for a crime he did not commit. The town's top cop who is a rabbit is hot on his trail but is also framed and now the two unlikely animals become allies and are forced to work together to clear their names. The movie sounds like your run of the mill Disney movie with talking animals but the studio has said that nothing is further from the truth. Unlike Mickey and Pluto and gang this animation is set in a world where animals have never existed and human influences are missing as a result. Zootopia, for example, is divided into neighborhoods like Sahara Square and Burrow borough which is an interesting play on words. The world they live in is designed entirely by animals with interesting designs like mountains modeled into apartment complexes. Tundra town features unique designs that are meant for an ice based civilization.

With this film Disney is clearly leaving their comfort zone and in keeping with themes adapted in Tangled and Frozen they are targeting a wider demographic. Zootopia should be on the whole family's to watch list as we expect it to be much in the vein of Weinstein's Hoodwinked  but with their own special Disney signature added.
