Google Nexus 9 Gets Its Go Signal From FCC, Announcement and Release Date Unveiled!
Google's latest upcoming tablet, Nexus 9, finally gets approval from FCC, prior to its official announcement date, which is expected this coming October 16, according to several rumors and reports from sites like Techno Buffalo. The report also states that Nexus 9 will have a revamped aspect ratio as shown in the image on the page, giving it a more "squarey" feel. Unlike most tablets of today that has 16:9 ratios; Nexus 9 seems to be more on similar to LG's Vu series or BlackBerry's more recent "Passport". HTC will also be in charge of the tablet's new model according to an earlier tweet from an Anonymous tipster by Paul O'Brien.
Anonymous tipster: The HTC Nexus 9 will be launched on 16th October...

While there are no exact specifications announced for the tablet, it is rumored that the tablet will be powered by NVidia's latest Tegra K1 Chipset and a 2.5 GHz Quad-core Cortex A15 processor. According to an unofficial spec sheet from GSM Arena, it will be using an unconventional ULP GeForce Kepler, which you don't always see in mobile devices and more on notebooks and laptops. Other items aren't too impressive if the spec sheet is close to the actual specs to be announced later this month, like the 8-megapixel snapper, maximum of 30 frames per second video with the highest resolution of 1080p, a 1440p resolution under an underwhelming 281 ppi and 2 GB of RAM. There have been also an alleged image "leak" from Twitter account "upleaks" that came out, showing the rear side of the Nexus 9, which also hints its form factor that is much closer to 4:3.

There's no telling if it's for real, but in the image that came from FCC, it would seem that the real thing is close to the image that upleaks posted on twitter.
In another Techno Buffalo report, they also managed to give anticipating fans, a glimpse of how the Nexus 9's keyboard case would look like. It looks strikingly similar to that of most recent iPads, including the layout of the keys and the style of the cover.
