Godzilla 2 Movie Release Date, Reveals, Cast, Rumors, Reviews and Updates: Plot and Cast not yet Confirmed as Release Date is Pegged for June 8th 2018

As 2014 comes to a close studios are looking to book dates for their later releases. After the success that was the 2014 Godzilla movie it would be nothing but good fiscal sense to come with a sequel. To say that a sequel was originally in the pipelines would be a lie, Godzilla was meant to be a standalone movie but after a great opening weekend rumors of a sequel began to fly around. There were also rumors of combining Pacific Rim and Godzilla since they both have Kaijus in them but Gareth Edwards who directed Godzilla just wanted to make a good movie first before making any plans. Godzilla did not disappoint in any way shape or form and must be one of the best movies of 2014. With the success of the movie firmly stamped it was announced that the sequel would be coming on June 8^th 2018. Why so late? Well at the moment Gareth Edwards is working on a star wars project so we all have to be patient.

In the first movie Godzilla proved that he wasn't such a bad guy after all and went on to save the earth from those giant bat-insect things. What new Kaiju are we expecting in the sequel and where will they come from? Legendary Pictures have acquired the rights to Mothra, King Gidorah and Rodan all of which are books written by Toho who also wrote Godzilla so maybe they may appear from some cave to mate and terrorize the world.

With a date so far away it is safe to say that the cast and crew are still a mystery to Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. What we do know is that Gareth Edwards shall definitely come back to direct. Fans are hoping for an Aaron Taylor-Johnson return which would be highly likely seeing as he survived the last movie. All we can do is wait and see but we shall let you know as soon as we get some news.
