Persons of Interest Season 4; Episode 3 Wingman Reviews, Updates and Reveals: Fusco to take Helm of Rescue Op for POI

It is not every day that you find the least interesting thing in a Persons of Interest episode is Reese's escapades. With his usually action packed scenes, the rest of the team are probably doing really high stress, high anticipation scenes if he is not the highlight. The third episode of season 4: Wingman put detective Fusco front and center in a way that was full of humor and still maintained a person of interest rescue as per usual. It was very interesting to learn that Fusco would be the one to get the Wingman, considering the extensive resumes of the other people like Shaw and Reese who are both excellent on their own.

It seems that things had been a bit serious for a while and it is always nice to give things a break for a bit of clumsy light heartedness which is the only way to describe Fusco and his handling of the mission. The case itself was about a man running from his past after his friends make a deal with criminals which was generic but it spoke to Fusco because it reminded him of him a few years back when he was a crooked cop. He eventually had to stand up to HR and he even managed to take down Simmons which was quite a moment, if there was ever one for him. The episode is full of light moments where he fails horribly at picking up women, have an awesome hero moment and save his target and the next moment he gets caught by the bad guys again.

Fusco has proven on the series that he is not just a pretty face. Sure, he does not stand a chance against Shaw and Reese who would take down full bars of big drunken bikers if they were annoyed and we love to see their skills, but Fusco has shown his mettle as well. He has also risen in rank in the outside world as well as the department becoming a consulting point.
