Jupiter Ascending Reveals, News and Updates: Wasichowskis Ensure Music for Film Done before Start of Filming

Jupiter Ascending was originally supposed to come out in summer and become the big blockbuster that Warner Bros could have displayed alongside Godzilla but the movie was delayed due to some trouble with the effects. If you have seen the trailer for this movie, then it is not so hard to imagine why this is so. The clip is packed with CGI and graphics that would require everything is on point. According to reports, the movie is not a major franchise and the release window coincides with the time period in which some of the movie enthusiasts are trying to catch up on the Oscar nominees. Apparently, if Warner Bros really believed in the financial muscle of the movie, then the studio would have opted for a summer release at the time when science fiction pictures are expected to perform quite well.

The movie still has some hope due to the star power involved and the original hype that had been churned for the movie which is still providing it with momentum. We just hope that it does not fizzle out by the time of the movie release in time to see it flop too badly on the box office. "We are not making a movie again without doing the music before," the Wasichowskis claimed after their experience with Tom Twyker on 'Cloud Atlas'.  As such, with this movie, they have followed up on this. Michael Giacchino has been hired to write the music and he revealed the score was complete prior to filming the project.

The other thing is that even though the Wachowskis are some of the most popular film makers in the industry, especially after their success with the Matrix franchise and V for Vendetta. However, we have to consider that the last time the Wasichowskis had a truly box office was 'The Matrix Reloaded'. The truth of the matter is that the filmmakers have struggled to make their mark critically in the recent years and will look to win people over with this film.
