Dying Light News, Reveals and Updates: More Updates come out about the Graphics, Plot and Gameplay
According to the plot of Dying Light which is slated to release around January 27th next year, the undead rise or an infection spreads turning the population into bloodthirsty creatures who thirst for one thing and that is human flesh, or the way the usual plot goes in the zombie scenario. There are a few options of play and they include taking to the seas or traveling from place to place slaying them. In the game, reports suggest that the character takes to the rooftops and using their parkour skills in order to climb buildings while the creatures try and get to you. Of course one has to come down at one time or another but when and how will depend on skill.
Reports on the gameplay of the game suggest things get much harder for the player during the night than the day. The hordes are quite lazy and easy to overcome as they attack slowly and in small numbers. However, at night, they are exponentially more aggressive, nimbler and faster. Of course you have to come down to get a care package dropped by a plane so this could be challenge. Apparently the combat is also quite something as it is involving. Humans in the game are just as dangerous as the zombies, if not more because of competition for scavenging the goods.
Apparently, there are reports of real combat situations in the gameplay including standoffs and threat assessment by human stand ins, for the game. This would lead to realistic fights the lengths of which have not yet been experienced in the gaming world, or at least not as intense. One player claims, "I truly felt the weight of my actions alongside the weight of the combat in gameplay." Dying Light is an evolution of the predecessor Dead Island with a realistic and grittier experience and this apparently adds a sense of humanity to a world which is infested by the undead.
