BoJack Horseman Season 2 Release Date, Reveals, Reviews and Updates: Season 2 is Expected Mid to Late 2015
The Simpsons opened the door to adult themed animated shows which eth McFarlane and the South Park tam have taken to the very extremes. Not to be left behind, Netflix have thrown their hat in the ring with BoJack Horseman. Created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and featuring the voices of Will Arnet, Alison Brie, Ken Jeong and Stephen Colbert the show is set in a world where anthro-morphic animals and humans live side by side. The first season consisting of 12 episodes was released on August 22nd of 2014 the release date or the second season has not yet been announced but the series is expected mid to late 2015.
The series is about a horse called BoJack Horseman who starred in a successful sitcom in the late 1980's who is seeking to make a comeback and what better way is there than to write a book? He hires a ghostwriter who is Vietnamese-American; the two have a great relationship until BoJack develops feelings for her. He has a rival who is a Labrador retriever who had a show with a similar premise around the time his show was airing. He lives with a slacker whom he continuously sabotages for fear of losing him. The first season featured a number of incidences with different characters including a seal that is an actual Navy seal and a Penguin that works at a publishing house and expects that BoJack's book shall save both his job and the company. By the end of the first season he has written his book and it has gained him the career boost he needed but he may have lst all his friends in the process.
Season two will no doubt have BoJack dealing with his resurrected fame and his bid to fix his various relationships. The show has gotten generally good reviews but a lot of people feel it could do much better. As at now it is lagging a little behind in its class but the creators have a whole half year to rectify this and bring up the ratings.
