The Winds of Winter Delayed Release: Statistician Predicts Who Will Probably Die In Last Two Books Of George R.R. Martin’s “A Song Of Ice And Fire” Saga

The Winds of Winter Delayed Release: Statistician Predicts Who Will Probably Die In Last Two Books Of George R.R. Martin’s “A Song Of Ice And Fire” Saga The Winds of Winter is taking way too long to finish that a statistician named Richard Vale has decided to use a Bayesian mathematical prediction model to get some indication as to which of the characters will likely still be heard of in that book as well as in the next and final book (A Dream of Spring) which make up George R.R. Martin’s seven-book “A Song of Ice and Fire” saga. Based on his analysis of the number of the point-of-view chapters they’ve already had in the five previous books, there’s a good chance that Arya Stark, Tyrion Lannister, Aeron Greyjoy and Melisandre will already have few to zero chapters told from their viewpoint in the remaining books. Now, as to the question ‘Is Jon Snow Dead?,’ Vale’s analysis says: “The model suggests that the probability of Jon Snow not being dead is at least 60% since this is less than the posterior probability of his having at least one POV chapter in book 6 [The Winds of Winter].” Anyway, The Winds of Winter release date is really still unknown at this time. The author himself admitted he doesn’t know when he will finish the much anticipated sixth installment in his “A Song of Ice and Fire” seven-book fantasy epic. "I don't know,” George R.R. Martin told Digital Spy. “I have days where I make lots of progress, I have days where I make next to no progress, I have days where I think I'm going backwards because I don't like what I wrote yesterday. So I've given up making any predictions on that. I'm just writing it and when it's done, it'll be done." Martin who has been contributing one “Game of Thrones” script per season for the last four seasons has even decided he won’t write one for Season 5. Neither will he make any set visits this year. He will finish writing “The Winds of Winter” book first. "I'm not writing a script for season 5, but I'm still a co-executive producer, so I'm still involved on that level, he said to Digital Spy. “It takes me about three weeks to a month to write a script, and with all the pressure to finish and deliver The Winds of Winter, I decided my time was better spent finishing the book than taking off three weeks to a month to get a script done." Commenting on “The Winds of Winter” progress, Martin's UK publishers, HarperCollins Voyager, reportedly “confirmed that the novel will definitely not be published in 2014, but that a 2015 release is possible” according to The Wertzone. Meanwhile, fans can visit the “A Song of Ice and Fire” blog post at Tor.com to go over a compilation of “The Winds of Winter” sample chapters and preview pages that have already been made available by the author at various occasions and at various places in the past, including his ‘The Winds of Winter’ pdf on Google docs. For those after ‘The Winds of Winters’ spoilers, James Walker at The Artifice has an interesting article which lines up twelve major plot points which they can anticipate to find in Martin’s upcoming novel. Or, like Vale, they can just use Bayesian math to test their own pet hypothesis as to what will happen next in Westeros and Essos.

NBA Trade Rumors: Rajon Rondo May Still Be Traded Before Deadline, But Will He?

NBA Trade Rumors: Rajon Rondo May Still Be Traded Before Deadline, But Will He? Rajon Rondo will be a free agent by July when his contract with the Boston Celtics expire, giving rise to speculations that he will likely be traded before the February deadline arrives. Basketball Insiders’ Alex Kennedy wrote: “Unless Boston is able to land a star player who would persuade Rajon Rondo to sign a new long-term deal (like Kevin Love could’ve done), then Rondo is likely gone. As I said earlier, he’s at the stage of his career where he wants to contend and he’s not going to be patient as Boston rebuilds with young guys. I don’t think the two sides would part ways next summer, I think they would be parting ways in February before the trade deadline. It doesn’t make sense for Boston to hold onto Rondo and likely lose him for nothing next offseason when they could trade him and get some assets back. Indiana, Houston, Dallas, New York, Detroit and Sacramento are the teams that come to mind who could use Rondo. I’m sure there will be plenty of suitors for him, since he’s one of the league’s best floor generals when healthy.” Rondo himself has repeatedly said that he wants to stay with Boston beyond the expiration date of his contract. According to Boston Globe, the Celtics team captain said: “The fans, the people here, make me want to stay. The organization has been great. I can’t say enough about Danny and [majority owner] Wyc [Grousbeck]. When I walk down the street, the fans embrace me from Day 1. Even when we won a championship, people don’t just appreciate us winning. It’s more of a thank you. It’s a love for the game. These people here know the game and they care for it. They know when you’re not playing as hard as you can. The love I get is kind of overwhelming in Boston. Why wouldn’t I want to stay here?” And the sentiment is apparently mutual. Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge told Bill Doyle of Telegram: “I have no intention. I'm not trying to trade Rondo, but because he's a free agent this summer, he assured me that he wants to stay in Boston. We'd love to keep him in Boston. The possibility of a trade is not out of the question. Nobody is untradeable, but I don't see that happening. I love Rondo. He's a fun kid to be around. I've seen a lot of growth in him as a person and maturity through the years.”

The 100 Season 2 Episode Spoilers and Preview: Of The 100, Are There Now Only 48 Of Them Remaining?

The 100 Season 2 Episode Spoilers and Preview: Of The 100, Are There Now Only 48 Of Them Remaining? The 100 Season 2 premiere is on Wednesday, October 22, t the 9 PM time slot on The CW network. Written by Jason Rothenberg and directed by Dean White, the first of sixteen episodes that will be shown this season is entitled “48.” Eliza Taylor (Clarke Griffin), Isaiah Washington (Chancellor Thelonius Jaha), Marie Avgeropoulos (Octavia Blake), Ricky Whittle Lincoln), Devon Bostick (Jasper Jordan), Lindsey Morgan (Raven Reyes), Bob Morely (Bellamy Blake), Paige Turco (Abigail Griffin), Henry Ian Cusick (Marcus Kane), Christopher Larkin (Monty Green) and some of the original members of the cast may be back, but not all. “We know for sure 48 people are alive. Whether or not they all appear in the second season is a question," executive producer Jason Rothenberg teasingly said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter. The studio’s synopsis for the premiere episode says: “Clarke struggles to make sense of her bizarre surroundings. Lincoln and Octavia's daring plan is thwarted. Abby, Kane and the survivors of the Ark face physical and moral dilemmas. Jaha makes a heroic decision.”In the last scene of last season’s finale, Clarke was shown waking up from her drug-induced unconsciousness to find herself quarantined and locked inside a high-tech, sterile room in a bunker, with Monty locked in another room across the hall, inside the Mount Weather lair of the Mountain Men. Season 2’s first episode will take off at that point. The Hollywood Reporter, in one of The 100 Season 2 spoilers, says Clarke will be able to break out of her room, but when she gets to the fifth floor of the facility, she finds herself asking “Where the hell am I?” Again, Rothenberg teases, “There are clues in the white room that it's nothing that they've ever seen before. If you look up what the real Mount Weather is, that begins to answer the question.” The real Mount Weather is a civilian command facility and a major relocation site for the highest level of civilian and military officials in case of national disaster. In first season of The 100, it was also the attempted original landing site of Clarke and company’s space shuttle back to earth. Other possible The100 Season 2 spoilers include: Lincoln and Octavia going deeper into the Grounders world; Clarke finally getting to reunite with her mother Abigail; the adults trying to wrest control away from the 100; John Murphy redeeming himself; a baby to be seen in Episode 1; not the Grounders but the Reapers and the Mountain Men will be shown as the real baddies for the season. Regarding the last one, Rothenberg told the Hollywood Reporter: “[Although the Grounders] "started out the big bad,...we began to drop hints that, maybe, they're not so bad [and that] they have their own point of view...[but] We needed something that was the big bad [for this season, and that was where the Reapers and the Mountain Men came in].”

The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode Spoilers and Preview: The Terminan Will Be Revealed As Cannibals, Rick And The Group Find Ways To Escape From Captivity

The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode Spoilers and Preview: The Terminan Will Be Revealed As Cannibals, Rick And The Group Find Ways To Escape From Captivity The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres on Sunday, October 12, at the 9 PM time slot on the AMC network. Entitled “No Sanctuary,” the first of the sixteen episodes that will be shown during this season was written by Scott Gimple and directed by Greg Nicotero. According to the official synopsis, “the true motives of the Terminans come to light; Rick and the others end up in a situation.” The first few episodes of The Walking Dead Season 5 will take off where the final scene in the finale of Season 4 left. The Terminus folks won’t be able to keep Rick Grimes and his gang of fellow survivors held captive inside the train car for much longer. As quipped by Rick during last season’s final episode, “They’re gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out....they’re screwing with the wrong people.”Executive producer Gale Ann Hurd told Digital Spy, "We heard Rick make that declaration. Now we're going to find out just how badly the Terminans are going to pay... and I think that's going to be a lot of fun!" In a talk with Entertainment Weekly, writer and executive producer Robert Kirkman previously revealed, “In our premiere episode of season 5 we’re going to give a ton of answers of who the people of Terminus are, what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, what’s going on with them. And by the end of that episode you’re going to have a much better understanding of what’s going on with them and why they’re so important to the show.” He also leaked that Rick and the gang will escape. He said, “They definitely get out of that train car. They do not spend the entirety of season 5 in that train car. It is through ingenuity and creativity and somewhat savageness that they are able to make their way out of that train car.” But once they get out of the train car and possibly out of Terminus, where will Rick and his people go next? If the events in the comic book will be followed, it may be that they will likely be heading to the Alexandria Safe-Zone, a walled community in Alexandria, Virginia, that they will enter on their way to Washington, D.C. In a more recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kirkman was asked if the Terminans are cannibals. He replied: “I’ll answer that with two statements: One, wouldn’t it be crazy if they didn’t turn out to be cannibals, since everything seems to be going that way? And two, all I’ll say is this season is following the comic book storyline pretty closely, possibly closer than we ever have before, and there’s a very popular, familiar storyline in the comic books that happened immediately following the exodus of the prison and it is entirely possible that we will be touching in some way on that very popular storyline.”

Arrow Season 3 Episode Spoilers and Preview: Sara Dies, Arrow Goes After Komodo Arrow Season 3 episode 2 which airs Wednesday, October 15, at the 8 PM time slot on The CW network is entitled “Sara.” Written by Jake Coburn with Keto Shimizu and directed by Wendey Stanzler, the second installment in this season’s TV adaptation of the DC Comics series “will find Oliver hunting down a vicious killer and mercenary who is wanted for murder in seven countries and now is targeting victims who are associated with a specific company” according to TV Line. It will have police captain Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) once more calling on the Arrow (Stephen Amell) for help when another archer appears in town and starts killing businessmen. John Diggle (David Ramsey) using his A.R.G.U.S. connections learns the mysterious archer's identity. He is a man named Simon Lacroix (guest star Matt Ward), who goes by the codename Komodo. He may have also been the one who shot and killed Sara/Black Canary (Caity Lotz) in last week’s episode’s ending scene. Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim in an interview with IGN describes next week’s episode as “probably one of our most emotionally gut-wrenching episode, as it needs to be, as it should be, because this character’s death affects all of the characters on this show. It’s kind of brutal. I will say – I don’t want to spoil it too much – but we chose the title ‘Sara’ because it actually has a double meaning. I really don’t want to say more than that, but it does have a double meaning. And it’s harsh. I will say there’s the question of what should be done with Sara’s body. There’s the question of who do they tell? Do they tell Lance, for example, that his daughter died a second time? There’s the emotional repercussions for everybody, but it definitely has repercussions for Oliver and Felicity and it has repercussions for Felicity and Ray Palmer. And obviously for Laurel. Laurel’s very much at the center of that episode.” Despite what she her promised to her dying sister, Laurel will be seen struggling about sharing a certain secret about Sara with father Lance. Meanwhile, Oliver will also be worrying as to the whereabouts of his sister Thea (Willa Holland) whom he hasn’t heard from since their mother’s funeral, forcing Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) to tell him the truth about why she left town. Elsewhere, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) will continue pursuing Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). And in the flashback portions of the episode, Maseo (guest star Karl Yune) tells Oliver that Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) has ordered his first kill, which turns out to be his best friend, Tommy Merlyn (guest star Colin Donnell).

Star Trek 3 News: Reboot of Star Trek 3 The Search For Spock Scheduled To Be Out in Cinemas In Time For Series’ 50th Anniversary in 2016 Well, well, looks like the original Captain James Kirk (played by William Shatner) might be appearing in a cameo role in the Star Trek 3 JJ Abrams adaptation after all. Amid all the speculations of appearing in the film’s reboot, Shatner unwittingly tweeted: “I’m baaaaccckk!!!” So, is this the sign Star Trek fans are looking for? On the contrary, that tweet had nothing to do with the Star Trek news. What the actor meant was being back in L.A. after his London trip. To avoid more confusion Shatner quickly deleted his tweet. Still, the buzz has not settled down which indicates negotiations are not over and nothing is final yet. Rumor has it that the 83-year-old actor is open to the idea of making a return in the third sci-fi installment. Well, if it is indeed true that the original actor will have a small part in the Star Trek 3 2016 release, fans are wondering how the timeline will go for the new movie. According to msn.com, “Shatner is set to share a scene with the current Captain Kirk (played by Chris Pine) as well as both Spocks of the present (Zachary Quinto) and past (Leonard Nimoy) as what Badass Digest reports.” What we do know and it is confirmed by the Mayor of Seoul, South Korea, is that some of the upcoming movie’s scenes will be shot in the capital city. This should make the reboot of Star Trek 3 a movie to look forward to.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Review and Updates: Microsoft’s New Partnership with Adobe, the Pen Feature Update, a more Powerful Surface Pro 3 Just recently, Microsoft released an update that’s meant for the pen feature that the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with. So far, the pen hasn’t been much of a use for the gadget functionality, but the update suggests that Microsoft is working on maximizing the only tablet feature that hasn’t awed the users yet. Surface Pro artist reported that the update is for the Control Panel app that allows Pen customization. It will provide pen sensitivity adjustments and also provide the option to choose the OneNote version (modern or desktop) that the pen interacts with. Perhaps there will be more added features to the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 that will allow its users to maximize the pen feature further. In other news, Adobe Systems just recently announced their new partnership with Microsoft, and the Adobe is now going to work with Microsoft’s Windows OS and Surface Pros. CEOs of both companies, Satya Nadella of Microsoft and Shantanu Narayen of Adobe, boldly announced their partnership with free Surface Pro 3s with a year’s subscription to the Office Pro 365 software. Narayen confidently added, “Go ahead, give it a spin, and try it [Adobe software] on Windows. I’m sure you’ll be really excited to see what’s happening”. Surface Pro 3 is known for its sharp display and design, and surely for its ability to offer the best of both laptop and tablet categories. Guess what the Adobe can add to that already powerful laptop-tablet hybrid to date.

Compared to the previous one, Gear 2 has three times the previous battery life, a new heart rate monitor and an IR blaster, plus the improved design. Also, the new Gear runs on Tizen instead of the previous Android, and has a number of additional native apps with better notifications. However, the Gear 2 has very few apps and some software features that seem rather superficial. Gear 2 is designed with a brushed metal, while the strap is still similar to the previous plastic material, except the microphone isn’t placed on the same area, and the camera is now up in the main watch housing. This means the plastic strap is bare, and it can be replaced with other straps of different colors. It has a 1.63 inch super AMOLED display, and comes with a dual-core 1GHz chip, a 512MB RAM, and a smaller 300mAh battery. The hardware remains the same as the previous Gear, but with a more refined feel to it. It comes with a 2 megapixel camera, a 720p video shooting, and an integrated music player. The Gear 2 is also waterproof up to one meter for 30 minutes, and has a complete dust protection. The rest of the features remain unchanged, including the Bluetooth 4.0, 4GB storage, microphone, an accelerometer, and a slightly smaller and sturdier charger.
