    eBay: The most gender friendly company you’ll ever work in

    If you’re looking for a company to work into that not only pays well but also fair in gender, why not apply for eBay? The online shopping and auction service company recently released a diversity report showing that it is the most gender diverse tech company out there in Silicon Valley with 42% of their employees (about 33,000) being women beating female-centric platform Pinterest by 2% and search engine, mail provider Yahoo by 5%. It was also found out that the cause of eBay strong female population is through its Women’s Initiative Network or WIN. Created three years ago, the program is designed encourage their female employees to stay with a goal for them to take on leadership roles in the future. Men do still make up the majority of the company, going up to 58% of the overall population where 72% hold leadership roles. eBay shares that they are trying to equal male-to-female ratio in their offices to foster a competitive yet level playing field for all. Furthermore, eBay pledges not only stop accommodating its doors to women alone as they are reported to actively recruit members of the LGBT community as well as advocate for the equal rights of same-sex couples. This spells good news for the future of those planning to apply for work in Silicon Valley especially for women who are gearing up to take more challenging roles in the industry. eBay beats social network moguls Facebook and Twitter and search engine front runner Google by more than 10% as it was reported that only 30% of their employee population are consisted of women and 2% consists of blacks.

    Child porn email detection gets Google to arrest a man

    If you think your emails are safe and private, even for your porn, you may way to reconsider that train of thought. Recently, Google has had a man arrested for child pornography by checking into his email. John Henry Skillern is a 41-year old man is registered sex offender from Houston, Texas and works at a Denny’s food join in Pasadena. Previously in 1994, he was convicted of sexual assault on a child and currently is being held in prison with a $200,000 bond. Since 2006, Google has been known to advocate against online child abuse and has done what it can to block, restrain or even prevent the search of child pornography in its databases. The leader in search engines, upon detecting images of child pornography in his email, sent a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. By that alone, it is also clear that the search engine mogul has also been monitoring and looking into the emails of its clients. As much as Google has expressed good intentions, some find the company’s act a breach in their user’s privacy and personal space as well as Google’s ‘policing’ action in the World Wide Web. According to Emma Carr, who is the acting direct of Big Brother Watch which is a privacy lobby group, it is not strange for companies to be convicted to privacy breaches despite US law stating that all US companies must report suspected acts of child abuse however she further states that Google should make their intentions more clear especially on what kind of procedures and safeguards are being used. Recently Google has updated their Terms of Service due to a failed class-action lawsuit filed against their email scanning practices last April.

What more is that he’s not stopping there – Highsmith has made the ship adjustable and expandable for future addition in the future. The father of two shares that he did not only do this project in his free time to give him sons a whole new way to play and enjoy but also hopes that through this project, it could help inspire his sons to be also interested in the career of programming and building when the grow up.     Great news to all the fans of Tom Cruise and the hit movie Top Gun! The studio has already confirmed that they will be making a sequel of the movie. Despite all of the misfortunes and issues that have risen during the talks of the next movie such as the passing of its original director Tony Scott, many have found themselves disheartened and doubting the production of the next installment. There have also been rumors stating that the actor, Tom Cruise did not want to do the movie. Ever since Top Gun has hit theatres and had wowed the audience, they have already been talking about making a sequel but talks have been suspended and have only been brought back to life years after Scott’s passing. Jerrry Bruckheimer, the producer of the film had assured the audience that the movie will be as modern as ever. Also, he along with all the members of the team will definitely do their best to make the second installment far more exciting than its prequel. The film will also serve as their tribute to the director that had brought the story of Top Gun to life. So what else can we expect from this movie? Planes. Yes, there will be planes as Bruckheimer tells the fans that the movie will revolve around the concept of Cruise trying to prove that pilots are here to stay despite the technologically advanced drones. As of now, there is no confirmed date of the release of the movie, but we are at least satisfied to know that it is in the works.

    It was in January 2013 when fans have found themselves cheering over the announcement that the fifth movie of the Terminator franchise was in development. It was also during that time that Paramount and Skydance have employed both Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier to begin formulating an awesome plot. Back then, we didn’t know much about what is going to be about, but what we do know is that it is the first movie of a trilogy. The next Terminator movie will be called Terminator Genesis. In this movie, various characters from the sci-fi franchise will be reunited with some new faces to make the plot even more interesting. Among the new faces are G.I. Joe: Retaliations’ Byung Hun Lee and Doctor Who’s Matt Smith. Rumor has it that one of the two, or maybe even both will play a robot that were sent back in time to finish off John Connor. Emilia Clarke or as we now know her to be, Daenerys Targaryen from HBO’s high-grossing series Game of Thrones have also been confirmed to be a cast of the show. She will be playing the role of the ass-kicking heroine Sarah Connor. She may not have dragons to help her fight off enemies, but we are pretty sure her fighting skills are more than enough to keep many of them down. Paramount has pegged the release of the film on July 1, 2015 which is now less than a year away. We’ll keep you posted for more updates about the film.

Although the specific date is not yet finalized, we are pleased to know that it is already on its way. The game has also been reported to be made available to new generation consoles such as the PS4, Xbox and the likes. This is one good strategy to widen the market as well get more sales. In order to make the combat scene look even more realistic and amazing, developers of the game are using the new Unreal Engine 4 which helps create better effects, especially for fight scenes. It also helps for the game and its effect to be applied for PS4 and XBOX One. According to the game developers, they are very happy with their choice of the Unreal Engine 4. Not only does the program help them to have better visuals, it helps them move Tekken from any console that they prefer. Also, it is very easy to use and yet very powerful, with this they hope to go beyond the current gaming consoles.     The Final Installment of the Franchise “RESIDENT EVIL” Will Soon Bring Fear To Theaters In Just a Year or Two

    Resident Evil is more popularly known as the sci-fi horror fiction video game that has been created by Capcom. The game had earned the company more than just millions but more so when it has been turned into film. Through the years, fans have been screaming their lungs out in cinemas whenever an installment of the franchise hits the theatres. There is so much suspense in the film that even though they have watched it when they played it before, it still manages to make them shiver and have their hearts palpitating. It used to seem that there is no end to the franchise but unfortunately, there will be. By 2015 or 2016, its final installment, the sixth film of the franchise is bound to be released. There have even been some speculations with regards to the team changing the title of the movie from ‘Resident Evil 6’ to ‘The Final Chapter’. It was once thought to be released by September this year which led to some fans being disappointed. Still, the good news is that we have been assured that the story line is currently in the works. According to Director Anderson, they will be focusing on the adventure of Alice and her crew as they head towards the Hive where the evil queen is currently plotting her destruction of mankind. Will Alice survive or will evil triumph? The battle continues and will be put to an end soon, and we can hardly wait for more.

    MICHAEL JACKSON’S NEVERLAND RANCH UP FOR SALE

    Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch may be sold soon. Thomas Barrack Jr of Colony Capital told Bloomberg: “We’ve really just been custodians of an irreplaceable estate and are proud to say we’ve restored it to the original elegance Michael first envisioned. We are now considering putting it up for sale.” Colony Capital bought out Jackson’s $23 million mortgage on Neverland back in 2008 when the late singer was facing foreclosure at the property. The property had undergone a recent restoration after years of neglect. The total is estate comprised of 22 buildings, including guest houses, apartments and a drive-in movie theater. However, the fairground with its own amusement rides and other theme park attractions, for which it was best known, has been replaced by a tranquil "Zen garden." Real estate experts expect the 2,700-acre Los Olivos property to fetch about $60 million. The Jackson family is not too happy with the Colony Capital’s decision to sell Neverland Ranch. In a statement, the family’s representative said, “We are frustrated, bitterly disappointed and saddened that it has come to this. Sadly, Michael lost control of Neverland during his life as a result of advice from a former manager....We hope and trust that any new owners of Neverland will respect the historical importance and special nature of this wonderful property. Michael’s memory lives on in the hearts of his fans worldwide.” The Neverland Ranch also has its share of controversy. In 2004, the place was raided by the police as part of an investigation into the late singer’s alleged impropriety with minors. While he was cleared of of the alleged misconduct with minors, Jackson who moved out of the property in 2005 never returned to Neverland because he said it no longer felt like home.

    First look at TIM BURTON’S ‘BIG EYES’ BIOPIC starring AMY ADAMS and CHRISTOPH WALTZ

    The Weinstein Company, the producer of Tim Burton’s “Big Eyes,” a biographical drama about real life husband and wife artists Margaret and Walter Keane has just released the first set of promo stills for the movie which which will begin showing in theaters by December 25, 2014. The movie stars Amy Adams as Margaret and Christoph Waltz as Walter. Directed by Burton from a script written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, the film is “centered on the awakening of the painter Margaret Keane, her phenomenal success in the 1950s, and the subsequent legal difficulties she had with her husband, who claimed credit for her works in the 1960s.” Walter and Margaret became famous during the 1950-60 era for having pioneered the creation and production of art which are easily accessible to the ordinary masses. He and his wife made and sold paintings of children with unnaturally big eyes. Publicly, Walter claimed to be the real artist in the family. Eventually however, it was revealed that it was his wife Margaret who actually did the paintings. When the couple divorced in 1965, Margaret tried to take ownership of her work after her husband called her crazy. The legal battle culminated in a courtroom “paint-off” in 1986. The judge put up two easels side by side and asked them to start painting. Walter begged off feigning a shoulder injury but Margaret proceeded painting off her familiar big-eyed art figure. As noted by Amy Adams, “This all seems so theatrical, like something you would design for a film. But that actually happened.”

    CBS’ The Big Bang Theory stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco-Sweetings have each signed new three-year deals with Warner Bros. TV that will have their salaries leaping from $350,000 to about $1 million per half-hour episode. In addition, according to a Deadline exclusive, the three will get other perks including “larger pieces of the show, signing bonuses, production deals and advances towards the back-end.” Production work for the show’s 8th season is being delayed by negotiations between producer Warner Bros. TV and the agents of the show’s actors. Representatives of The Big Bang Theory co-stars Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are still in talks with the studio bosses although but they are expected to strike new deals very soon as well. The two are reportedly aiming to raise their current $100,000 per episode salary to something closer to what the other three original cast members now make. Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch just received their raises back in September and are already on board for work on Season 8. The Big Bang Theory creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre is confident that matters will be resolved soon. As he told The Hollywood Reporter, “There are people at Warner Brothers Television and people representing the actors who have done this before .This will work itself out. I think it's great; I want them all to be crazy wealthy because nobody deserves it more than this cast. It'll work out."

The second half of the remix features rapper superstar Nicki Minaj in top form delivering stinging verses like “Like MJ’s doctor, they’re killing me: propofol. I know they hope I fall, but tell them winning is my motherf-----g protocol” and “You want ‘Monster’ Nicki in Sri Lanka/I told ‘em meet me at the Trump/Ivanka.” Nicky shared with Billboard how she got to collaborate with Beyonce on the surprise new “Flawless” remix. "She sent me a version that she wanted. She told me, 'I want you to be you. I don't want you to hold back." I said, 'You sure?' She said, 'Yeah. I want you to be you and do you."     There will be nine new characters to be introduced in the Game of Thrones TV series starting Season 5 according to HBO during a panel discussion at last week’s San Diego Comic-Con, but to the disappointment of fans of the George RR Martin novels, ‘Arianne Martell,’ niece of the slain Prince Oberyn and heiress to the kingdom of Dorne in the book, is not one of them. The nine additions to the cast include Alexander Siddig as ‘Doran Martell,’the, ruler of Dorne and older brother of Oberyn, and Toby Sebastian as ‘Trystane Martell,’, the youngest son of Doran and the heir to the throne in the HBO announcement. DeObia Oparei will reprise the role of ‘Areo Hotah,’ a loyal protector of Doran. Previously, Game of Thrones executive producers David Beniof and D.B. Weis have already confirmed that Season 5 will have a storyline on Dorne in the aftermath of Oberyn’s death. The Dorne storyline will include an arc covering the feared ‘Sand Snake Sisters,’ Oberyn’s illegitimate daughters who will be plotting revenge for their father’s death. Playing the ‘Sand Snake Sisters’ are Keish Castle-Hughes as ‘Obara Sands,’ Jessica Henwick as ‘Nymeria Sands,’ and Rosabell Laurenti Sellers as ‘Tyene Sands.’ Jonathan Pryce, has been cast as the ‘High Sparrow,’ the leader of a religious movement which will be stirrin up things in King’s Landing against the Lannisters. Nell Tiger Free will reprise the role of ‘Myrcella Baratheon,’ the daughter of Cersei and Jaime who was shipped off by her uncle Tyrion Dorne in Season 3. Rounding up the cast of new characters, Enzo Cilenti will play ‘Yezzan zo Quaggaz,’ a slave trader and one of the elite rulers at Slavers’ Bay. Game of Thrones will return to TV screens on April 2015 for its Season 5.
