    Kill Bill: Vol. 3 is rumored to hit the big screen this 2015, according to the franchise director Quention Tarantino

    Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill franchise is just like its own heroine, it’s not yet dead. The supposed to be 4-hour-long movie was then cut into two parts; the first one was released in October 10, 2003 and the second half in April 16, 2004 with over $330 million box-office. So, what’s more to come? A third installment was planned this year to be possibly released in 2015, despite Tarantino’s comment saying that there might not be a sequel for the movie. Though the third installment title has been publicly released as “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair”, the story plot has yet to be announced. In fact, Tarantino said that the he and the Weinstein Company had already met to finalize the film. Still, the fans might come up with a possible plot continuing The Bride’s (Uma Thurman) vengeance to her ex-colleagues who attempted to massacre almost everybody during her own wedding party. Her journey of revenge over multiple characters including Lucy Liu (as O-Ren Ishii) and the search for Bill (David Carradine) with her shock over finding out her daughter, whom she thought was dead, is alive. Followed by an intense interrogation between Beatrix (The Bride) and Bill, filled martial arts scenes until the bride herself wins and takes her daughter back, which was then the end for Kill Bill Volume 2. The question is what could possibly follow after that? Are the characters going to be the same? Well, one thing is for sure, the movie will be filled with amazing martial arts, stunts and guns. Also, Tarantino will be there to work on it.

    The Amazing Spiderman 3 – to hit the big screen 4 years after the last installment! Now that is a long wait!

    Everyone might have expected Andrew Garfield in his spider-man suit this 2016 but somehow, the release date was pushed to 2018. Quite a long wait though but then, “Sinister Six” which would be released in 2016, might help us understand why. If you’ve seen the Amazing Spider-man 2, you’d realize that this movie is way too awesome to end just like that. Rumors had it that Emma Stone who played as Peter Parker’s love interest, Gwen Stacy, might come back with an unknown role since her character met its end in the latest sequel. And then there’s Mary Jane Watson who was supposed to be played by Divergent’s star Shailene Woodley - but her scenes were soon deleted. Marc Webb, the director, stated that there would surely be an MJ but might not be Shailene due to her schedule conflicts. Sony later on announced that Amazing Spiderman fans will wait for four more years to watch Andrew slings his web again. Obviously, since the movie was pushed back, plots and additional characters have yet to be announced. And instead of the 3rd Amazing Spider-man movie, we might end up loving the “Sinister Six” as Marvel is expanding the Spiderman world more. What would we expect from the “Sinister six” anyway? Well, it’s a story of the villains in the Marvel Comics Universe which are Spiderman’s enemies. But rest assured that the long wait would be worth it and Peter Parker will surely be played by Andrew Garfield himself in four years time.

    Previously called Dracula Year Zero, the new Dracula origin film, now officially titled “Dracula Untold,” will begin showing in cinemas on October 17, 2014. Directed by Gary Shore from a screenplay written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, the movie is headlined by Luke Evans who plays Vlad III Tepes, the man who would later be better known as Dracula. In the newest film adaptation of Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, the young Prince Vlad has to sacrifice everything in order to save his family and his people from the approaching armies of the Ottoman Empire. Led by Sultan Mehmed, the numerically more superior invaders want to take possession and control of his lands and kingdom. Vlad left with no choice makes a pact with an ancient evil force that lives on top of a mountain. The ancient one gives Vlad a cup of his own blood to drink. Once he did, Vlad turned into a vampire with great supernatural powers, including the ability to fly, to become invisible, to teleport, and to transform himself into a horde of bats. With his frightening new powers, he fights off the invaders from the Ottoman Empire. As said by the boy shown at a scene from the teaser trailer, “Sometimes the world doesn’t need another hero. Sometimes what it needs is a monster.” Aside from Evans, the cast of Dracula Untold include Sarah Gadon (as Vlad’s wife Mirena), Dominic Cooper (as Sultan Mehmed), Samantha Barks (as the witch Baba Yaga), Art Parkinson (as Vlad’s son Ingeras), and Charles Dance (as the ancient evil force) along with Charlie Cox, Will Houston, Ferdinand Kingsley, Noah Huntley, Dilan Gwyn, Zach McGowan, Ronan Vibert, Diarmaid Murtagh, Thor Kristjansson, and Joseph Long.

    The crime drama action film A Walk Among Tombstones that is based on a 1992 novel by Lawrence Brock of the same name will be seen in theaters beginning September 19, 2014. Directed by Scott Frank from a screenplay he wrote, the thriller stars Liam Neeson as main protagonist Matt Scudder, a disgraced ex-NYPD cop and an alcoholic who to earn his living becomes an unlicensed private investigator. In the film, Scudder is hired by a heroin trafficker to track down those responsible for the kidnapping and brutal murder of his wife. As he did, he discovers that this not the first time these men have committed these sort of heinous crime, nor will it be their last. Scudder tries his best to hunt them and stop them before they can kill again. With an “R” rating from the MPAA, the film can be expected to contain graphic scenes of killings and violence, disturbing language and some nudity. The cast of A Walk Among Tombstones, which wrapped up filming on October 18 last year, also includes Dan Stevens, Boyd Holbrook, Ruth Wilson, Sebastian Roche, Eric Nelsen, David Harbor, Mark Consuelos, Stephanie Andujar, Purva Vedi, Marie Heller, Olafur, Darri Olafsson, Toshiko Onizawa, and many more in supporting roles. Regarding the choice of 62-year old Neeson playing the rugged character of Scudder, novelist Brock told The Wrap, “Liam Neeson as Scudder struck me as a wonderful idea back when I saw him portray Michael Collins in the eponymous film. I can't think of anyone I'd rather see in the role.... Neeson has been up at the top of my personal Scudder wish list. I couldn't be happier about either the star or the writer/director, both of them genuine artists and brilliant professionals. My book's in good hands.''

    The Boxtrolls, a stop-motion animation film adaptation of “Here Be Monsters!,” a novel by Alan Snow, will be seen in US theaters beginning September 26, 2014. A family event movie from Laika, the company behind past hits Coraline and ParaNorman, the movie follows the adventures of Eggs, an orphan who was raised by a community of Boxtrolls, a subspecies of trolls that live in cardboard boxes, in a home they’ve built underneath the streets of Cheesebridge. It happens that an exterminator named Archibald Snatcher wants to rid the town of Boxtrolls. To save his adopted family, Eggs has to go above ground, and there he meets and teams up with Winnie, a feisty girl who helps him devise and execute a plan to save the Boxtrolls from the exterminator. Directed by Graham Annable and Anthony Stacchi from a screenplay written by Irina Brignull and Adam Pava The Boxtrolls stars Isaac Hempstead-Wright as Eggs, Elle Fanning as Winnie, and Ben Kingsley as Snatcher the exterminator, along with Toni Collette, Jared Harris, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Richard Ayaode, Tracy Morgan, Maurice LaMarch, James Urbaniak, and Brian George. It took ten years to finish the stop-motion animation film adaptation of the “Here Be M!” novel. In a panel discussion at the San Diego Comic-Con, Laika president and CEO Travis Knight revealed, “We started working on Here Be Monsters! almost ten years ago... It’s this 500-page book. It’s like a phone book. We somehow had to distill the essence of that down to a 90-minute movie. It took us nearly ten years, but in the end we have something I think that’s really beautiful.”

    “The Middle” will be bringing in more laughter to its fans as it gets renewed for its Sixth Season

    Jot down September 24 on your TV calendar as it marks the premiere date of the sixth season of one of the funniest, weirdest and hippest show on-air, The Middle. With the show getting high-rating and one being for the whole family, capturing wide range of audiences, its renewal did not come as a surprise at all. Just a backgrounder, “The Middle” is a story of a Midwestern family residing in a fictional town as a working class member of the society. The wife, Frankie is the narrator of the show and has performed various jobs in her role. She has taken the job of a dental assistant and even a car-dealer. Her stoic husband, Mike serves as the family’s stabilizing influence, ensuring harmony whenever he can. They have three children, wherein their middle child Sue, is a socially-awkward and enthusiastic young teen. She is almost always out to try out new things. As to what she will be up to on the next season, we just have to wait to find out. It is not only regular viewers who give its applause for the show but also well-known TV critics looking out for great shows such as this one. The show has even received various awards including the Gracie Award for Outstanding Comedy Series. Even the actors and actresses of the show have been awarded while being part of the series.     Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D gets a new cast member when it returns for its Second Season

    The second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is set to return to our TV screens by 9PM of September 23 on ABC. With its first season ending in quite a twist, with the discovery of our hunk Agent Ward apparently working on the other side, the show left many questions behind. It is our hope that some of them at the very least gets to be answered when the show runs again. Before we tackle on those answers, let us first talk about its newest member. Apparently, Simon Kassianides will be joining the show as a recurring character. His character is named Bakshi, described as a confident right-hand man who is not afraid to cross borders and doing dirty work. There are various theories circulating as to what role he would be playing in the lives of the agents, with some being that he is a member of the Hydra group or even being a spy of Skye’s father. He could also be a new member of S.H.I.E.L.D. for which Colson is known to have a knack of choosing unexpected people. Aside from Simon, Lucy Lawless will also be joining the show as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, as well as Nick Blood who will be playing a so-called Lance Hunter. With the new faces soon to conquer the screen, it only means that there is a greater plot brewing for the show which will surely surprise us on the end. Maggie’s layered storyline will be unfolded one by one through each episode and we are just as intrigued as you are about what impact does her new spotlight going to bring upon the show. Grey’s Anatomy will start airing its eleventh season on September 25.

    Digital imaging powerhouse Canon has two more compact, super-zoom cameras in the pipeline: the PowerShot SX520 HS and the PowerShot SX400 IS, both of which will be in stores by the last quarter of 2014. Avid photographers get the best of both worlds: these models are designed to capture subjects from far distances quickly and easily but without the bulkiness of telephoto lenses. These new cameras are equipped with features such as a high-powered 42x Optical Zoom lens (equivalent to 24-1008mm), Optical Image Stabilization, a highly sensitive 6 megapixel CMOS sensor, DIGIC 4+ image processor and full HD video for the PowerShot SX520 HS; the PowerShot SX400 IS, on the other hand, has a 30x Optical Zoom (equivalent to 24-720mm), 16 megapixel CCD sensor, DIGIC 4+ image processor, Smart Auto, and 720p HD video capabilities. Yuichi Ishizuka, president and COO of Canon USA said in a statement: “Our goal is to provide people who are passionate about photography with the imaging tools they need to capture the moments that inspire them.” “The PowerShot SX520 HS and PowerShot SX400 IS digital cameras offer users features that help produce high quality-images and video with ease allowing them to capture their most creative shots.”

    Nokia Lumia 930 is the best Windows smartphone, but falls short of competition

    Following Microsoft’s takeover of Nokia, the Finnish mobile phone company has released the Nokia Lumia 930, the first smartphone running on the Windows Phone 8.1 mobile operating system. How does the Nokia Lumia 930 fare against its Apple and Samsung counterparts? Design-wise, Lumia 930’s colorful plastic frame is a welcome contrast to the metallic, black and white look of other smart phones. The 9.8mm Lumia 930 is marginally thicker than the iPhone 5s and the Samsung Galaxy S5, but it makes up for this with built-in wireless charging. Its 5-inch, full-HD OLED display delivers rich colors. Its 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 chip is weaker compared to the 801 processor, which is now the standard in other smartphones; this in turn translates to a shorter battery life. There’s 32GB of internal storage capacity, but the lack of a microSD card slot might be a turn off for heavy media users. The Lumia 930’s 20 megapixel camera takes great shots during the day, but the slow shutter response results to frequently blurred or overexposed images. On the other hand, excellent videos can be shot in Dolby 5.1 surround sound. New features include Wi-Fi Sense, which allows users to share Wi-Fi connection automatically with Facebook, Outlook, and Skype contacts. Its comprehensive Bing Health and Fitness app has workout plans, exercises, video tutorials, and dietary planning features. But this win may be overshadowed by the fact that it has a limited library of 225,000 apps, compared to over one million in iOS and Android. The verdict? No compelling reason to switch to a Lumia 930 just yet.

    Are you ready for the iPad 6? Rumors abound that it’s coming by October 2014

    Arguably one of the best-selling tablets in recent memory, fans have been wondering when the newest iPad model is coming out? Well, they need not wonder further: the iPad 6, also known as the iPad Air 2, is rumored to be released by October 2014, based on previous iPad launch events. The iPad 6 will come with the new iOS 8, which would translate to better images, messaging features, Spotlight and Safari specs, interactive widgets, a QuickType keyboard, Family Sharing (which allows up to up to 6 family members to share iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases without sharing accounts), iCloud Drive (which securely stores documents in iCloud), and a host of connectivity features and apps that run seamlessly with one another. Like iPad Air, the iPad 6 will reportedly have a 9.7-inch display, but with better resolution and power efficiency. Expect the iPad 6 to be equipped with a faster 802.11ac wireless standard while running on an A8 chip, as against the A7 chip i iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, and iPhone 5S. Alleged iPad 6 prototypes reveal a Touch ID fingerprint sensor incorporated in the design, which will make securing the tablet more convenient and personalized. A Smart Cover keyboard could possibly be added in; unlike Microsoft’s Surface Touch keyboard, this will have multi-touch gesture support that turns the whole cover into a track pad.

For his life assignment, the young man, Jonas, is selected to be the Receiver of Memory, the person who is responsible for storing and managing all the memories before the time of ‘Sameness.’ As he receives the memory from the Giver, who was the previous receiver, he begins to have doubts as to whether their current life of perfect Sameness is really worth the sacrifice of all those things which make us human. Directed by Philip Noyce from a screenplay written by Michael Mitnick based on Lois Lowry’s award-winning young-adult sci-fi novel of the same name, the film stars Jeff Bridges as the Giver, Meryl Streep as the Chief Elder, Brenton Thwaites as Jonas, Alexander Skarsgard as Jonas’ father, Katie Holmes as Jonas’ mother, Odeya Rush as Jonas’ love interest Fiona, Cameron Monaghan as Jonas’ best friend Asherand, and Taylor Swift as the Giver’s daughter Rosemary. Shooting for The Giver started in October 2013 and wrapped up on February 13, 2014. The score for the film was composed by Marco Beltrami and the musical soundtrack will feature OneRepublic’s song “Ordinary Human.” During the Comic-Con in San Diego, newcomer Thwaites who plays the main protagonist in the film was asked how it was working with such acting heavyweights as Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges. He said, "When you meet such famous actors that you're been watching since you were...since I was like five years old...you get this kind of image in your head of what they'll be like, and the reality of how they really are always surprises you. I guess with Jeff and Meryl, they just surprise me on how cool they are, and how it's the same for all of us, you know?"

    The Equalizer tells the story of a former black ops commando named Robert McCall who faked his own death so he can retire quietly in Boston. With a deep sense of justice, he spends his retirement helping victims of injustice during his off hours at his day time job at a small home improvement store. Then it came to pass that at the local diner, a girl he befriended got nearly killed by gangsters. After the fight, he learns that they are Russian mobsters. From that point, he starts his one-man war against them and their organization. Starring Denzel Washington as Robert McCall, the film was directed by Antoine Fuqua from a screenplay by Richard Wenk. Others in the cast include Chloe Grace Moretz, Marton Csokas, Melissa Leo, Haley Bennet, Vladimir Kulich, Robert Wahlberg, David Harbour, Bill Pullman, and David Meunier. Filming started as early as June of last year and production is presumably already under wrap. The Equalizer is scheduled to show in theaters on September 26, 2014. A planned sequel has been announced with Wenk again writing the script. The Equalizer is a film adaptation of the popular television series of the same name that aired on CBS from 1985 to 1989. It stars the late Edward Woodward in the title role, for which he won a Golden Globe award in1987. In the original TV version, Woodward’s character McCall offers his help free of charge through a newspaper ad which reads: "Odds against you? Need help? Call the Equalizer. 212
