iPhone 6 versus Galaxy Note 4: Release, Reveals and Rumors: Samsung Wins Design while Apple Triumphs on Hardware
It has got to be the battle of the titans; the release of the iPhone 6 and Galaxy Note 4 has many users torn between the two. The IPhone 6 is rumored to finally address the client's need of a bigger screen following the phablet phenomenon that is sweeping across tech companies. Well, this upgrade is definitely the biggest to the IPhone since the IPhone 4 as was revealed by Tim Cook & co. This move from apple is definitely a response to the demand for a larger screen but does it match up its competition? Specifically Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 which seems to be a mirror image of the IPhone 6 in both appearance and ability.
A few details however, stand out when it comes to design. Samsung's Note maintains a sturdy look with a metal strip running along the edge of the handset and stands at 152 x 80 x 7.6 mm in proportions which is considerably thinner compared to the 158.1mm x 77.8mm x 7.1mm IPhone 6. Whereas apple decided to stick to their space gray, gold and silver variants just like the IPhone 5 and maintain their seamless, uni-body construction Samsung has decided to offer a more varied selection in the form of pink, white, black and gold options.
When it comes to hardware it safe to safe to say the IPhone 6 carries the cup; the Apple's A8 runs at 1.4GHz however, it maintains low battery usage allowing the user a streamlined and uninterrupted phone experience. Since the 64 bit Qualcomm is not available till mid-2015, google insisted on including the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 processor for the iPhone 6. Tech times approves this choice by reporting that Qualcomm processors actually offer fast speeds strong enough to support up to date versions of programs. Despite the added advantage iPhone 6 offers due to Google's specifications, the Galaxy Note 4 could actually be the better option when it comes to multitasking. Galaxy Note 4 offers a multi-interaction and a multi-window that is user friendly as opposed to the IPhone 6 phablet.
