Jason Davidson Releases New Album "He Came Searching for Me"
Songwriter and singer Jason Davidson has released his brand new album He Came Searching for Me. The album is preceded by the first single, "Without Forgiveness", written by Jerry Salley and Tony Wood, which is at radio stations now.
The new Southern Gospel release is produced by Les Butler and it features amazing BGV's by Jimmy and Jennifer Layne, Randy Kohrs, and Lindsay Huggins. Musicians include Brent Mason, Swine Grant, Jason Roller, Johnny Brown, Robb Tripp, Matt Butler, and others. Songwriters for the project include Jerry Salley, Kenna West, Pam Tillis, Marcia Henry, Joseph Habedank, Dianne Wilkinson, Jennifer Layne, Joel Lindsey, Russell Terrell, and Jason Cox.
Cutting his first studio album at the age of fifteen, Jason spent the majority of his early and teenage years singing in church, and traveling across the South with various singing groups, honing harmonies with quartets, trios, and often singing solo, as well.
After traveling to Nashville for another record at the age of sixteen, and vocalizing on several live recordings, he again turned to the recording studio, and began a 12 year stint singing background vocals with David Huff at Giant Records. During this time, he sang on countless projects with various artists, including Vicki Yohe, Karen Harding, and David Huff.
In 1998, Jason formed the band Sanctuary, a five piece band for which he sang lead vocal. The band traveled to a multitude of churches across the south, and recorded one album in 2000, titled "Hiding Place". He also began to write songs, including "Take Me There" which was recorded by David Huff, and featured on TBN in 2002.
Jason now resides in Sebastopol, MS, with his wife Krista, and two children, Alissa and Matthew.
