Sony Vaio Pro 13 Review, Spoilers and Specs: The Vaio Pro 13 Performance is Commendable Considering the Ultra Light Weight, it is the Perfect Machine
The latest in the Ultrabook lineup from Sony is the Vaio Pro 13 which is known for portability as well as the awesome resolution and ultra fast processing speed. The good thing with this laptop is that is super light and still quite light, weighing in at only 2.34 lbs which is 940 grams. The Ultrabook runs on a Windows 8 OS and a 13inch display. Another strong point of the device is that the battery life is quite something, to say the least. It can sustain about 8 hours allegedly with a 37Wh battery and the battery can be attached to an external sheet battery which can expand the life by twice as much coming up to an astounding 16 hours. Meaning the laptop can charge the night and sustain the user from the time they wake up to the time that they go to bed at night.
The secret behind the long lasting battery life lies behind the Intel's Haswell ULT processors which all in all have a quicker transition not to mention lower TDP's. on the other hand, Anandtech gives the success of the battery life over to the integrated voltage regulator. The firmware has also been upgraded apparently which provides the Intel processor with the opportunity to run at full potential if need be.
For the weight of the Ultrabook, the performance of the Vaio Pro 13 will come as quite a shock. The Ultrabook comes available with an Intel Core i5-4200U processor, as well as a PCI-e based 512GB for the hard disk. This internal storage may not seem to be much for users but it provides opportunity to be connected to external storage via USB 3.0 storage ports. Similarly, the device comes with a very good 1080P IPS display system and the keyboard is quite comfortable when it comes to typing. The device is also available with 8 GB internal RAM. The retail price for the Vaio Pro 13 is $2,600. On the overall, the performance of the Vaio Pro 13 is quite good considering the weight and battery life of the Ultrabook.
