iPhone 6 Apple Event Officially Announced for September 9th, iWatch Could Be Unveiled As Well
After months of speculation, Apple has officially sent out invites for their Apple event on September 9th. This highly anticipated event will unveil the iPhone 6 and potentially the iWatch as well.
The invites that Apple sent out for the press event on Sept. 9 in Cupertino, CA used the phrase "Wish we could say more."
Apple is expected to introduce two new iPhone 6 models with display sizes of 4.7 and 5.5 inches, however the 5.5" device could be released at a later date.
The iPhone 6 is expected to be one of the largest product launches in Apple's history. The company reportedly has asked manufacturing partners to produce up to 40 percent more iPhones by the end of this year than it ordered for last year for the iPhone 5S and 5C.
The widely speculated iWatch could also be unveiled by Apple as their first wearable at this event. Many rumors have been circulating, so it would be nice to see what the iWatch will actually look like and include.
Apple has pushed manufacturing into high gear for the release of the highly anticipated iPhone 6. The Foxconn manufacturer out of Taiwan has hired thousands of extra workers to keep with the demand for the new 4.7 and 5.5 inch smartphones. Some reports say up to 100,000 extra staff has been brought on to meet deadlines. Another key company that Apple uses, Pegatron, has also reportedly added 10,000 staff as well.
Apple is looking to impress and push innovation with the iPhone 6 and their full new lineup of devices in 2014. One way the california based tech company is planning to use Sapphire glass for the iPhone 6, which they consider "virtually scratch free" and "nearly indestructible."
The iPhone 6 will come with atleast 64 bit architecture as A8 processor. The iPhone 6 will also comes with next extended version of iOS 8. It will have a 4.7 inch screen and possibily a 5.5 inches screen as well with 2K resolution based screen and protected by Sapphire glass covering. The iPhone 6 may not increase the MP, leaving it at 8MP. But there are expected to at least be subtle improvements to please the user.
The Apple iPhone 6 will come with upp to 128GB internal storage or expandable storage, heart rate EarPods, a NFC chip, wireless charging compatibility with Apple's rumoured iWatch and Sapphire glass and LiquidMetal design. Reports are the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be 66mm wide and 7.0mm thick (the 5S is 58.6 x 7.6mm).
