Amazing Spiderman 3 Release Date, Spoilers, Reveals and Review: the Possible Return of Mary Jane to the Screen

The amazing Spiderman is one of those main storylines that ha s put Marvel as the biggest and the most successful superhero production franchise ever. As such, the first two films of the franchise have been quite successful with the Amazing Spiderman 2 debuting last year. The release date for the Amazing Spiderman 3 was originally thought to be sometime in 2016 summer; however, this was quickly changed to 2018 summer. There are a couple of reasons why Sony decided to delay the third installment. For one, there is an interesting sequence of events that was started in the last installment and it involves the Sinister 6.

The Sinister 6 are a group of villains that were brought into being by the green goblin after his origin in the last installment. According to the latest reports, there is going to be a spinoff which may debut in place of the original date of release for the third installment. The other thing is that the 2016 release window will feature a lot of competition from franchises that have a lot more mileage and are fresher in the markets eyes like Pacific Rim 2. As such, it would not be advisable to rush a script and produce a half ready movie that will flop once it hits the box office. The other thing is that the studios want to give enough time before the market is ready for another Spiderman flick therefore timing is very important. Franchise exhaustion due to the close releases of the last two movies is quite possible and the half prepared release of the third is something that may destroy the Spiderman reputation for future installments.

The other point of interest that was illustrated for the third installment is the return of Mary Jane to the Spiderman movies. Last installment we saw the demise of Gwen Stacy so this installment may include Mary Jane taking her place, probably from scratch but that will be the development of a curious love interest to say the least.
