Monster High Movie Release Date, Reveals, Rumors, Plot, Reveals and Cast: This time a Musical, Pegged for October 7th 2016 Release

In 2010 the makers of Barbie, Mattel launched a series of dolls fashioned after the characters of horror, science fiction and monster films. Six years later and the franchise gets its own movie which is pretty impressive considering it took Barbie about 28 years for her to get her own movie. Created by Garett Sander the franchise has a whole lot of products including key-chains, bags, a web series and play sets. The franchise was picked up Nickelodeon for several TV specials and it is only fitting that they get their own movie. The movie is set to be a musical and is pegged for an October 7^th 2016 release.

The franchise has had books, webisodes and a game; we expect that the storyboard will come from any three of these sources. However, considering the rich history accorded each character there is world of options available to Universal Pictures. Spectra Vondergeist is the violet haired daughter of a ghost who can do ghostly things like through walls; Abbey Abominable is the Yeti's daughter;  Lagoona Blie is the daughter of Gill-Man (from Creature From the Black Lagoon); Goulia Yelps is the daughter of Zombies; Deuce Gorgon is Medusa' son who has a secret passion for cooking; Draculaura is Dracula's 1600 year old adopted daughter; Cleo de Nile is mummy Ramses daughter who is 4842 years old; Frankie Stein is Frankenstein's daughter and Clawdeen Wolf is the daughter of a werewolf. As you can see the characters are interesting translating to an interesting movie that the whole family can enjoy.

We expect that the people who have been doing the voice work for the characters in the games, webisodes and TV specials shall stay on with the project; the movie is bound to be a major project for the band. The people who voice the monsters are Kate Higgins, Salli Sffioti, Debi Derry berry, Yuri Lowenthal, Laura Bailey, Andu Paden and Erin Fitzgerald.
