Desperate Housewives' Eva Longoria returns to TV, will she choose NBC or ABC?
When one talks about the hit series, Desperate Housewives, the first person that comes to mind is the ever sexy and gracious Eva Longoria. After more than two years of being off screen, it has been reported that the lovely actress is now out looking for the perfect TV series project to work on. Two networks are already out courting her. NBC who is offering her Telenovela and an untitled comedy series from ABC.
The Telenovela executive producers Chrissy Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein together with Universal TV will be getting a thirteen episode order once Longoria commits to star on the show or a pilot order if she doesn't. As for ABC's project offer, Emily Halpern, Lee Eisenberg, Sarah Haskins and Gene Stupnitsky is already working double time for a script to go along with a thirteen episode project for Longoria once she decides to take on their offer. ABC's untitled comedy series gives her the role of a successful home renovator who just can't help herself from solving problems of her loved ones and everybody else that she meets. With Longoria having deep ties with both networks, that have helped her in jump starting her career, the decision would be really hard to make.
It is not unusual for an actor to get multiple project offers, but for Eva's case, it is rare for two big networks to create two big programs for an individual. This only goes to show how in demand the actress is and how much trust the network has for her. There is no news yet as to which project she will be choosing, but rest assured that once we do know, you'll be the first to find out.
