Independence Day 2 Premiere Date and Latest News: Will Smith not set to Reprise His Role, Are Movie-Goers Ready for yet Another Alien/Apocalyptic Film?

Independence Day 2 Premiere Date and Latest News: Will Smith not set to Reprise His Role, Are Movie-Goers Ready for yet Another Alien/Apocalyptic Film? After 17 years since the release of the first Independence Day film, Fox has at long last set a premiere date for its upcoming sequel: on the Fourth of July holiday in 2015 (when else?). According to latest news, the movie will pick up some twenty years after the first film, though both co-writers Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin confirmed that Independence Day 2 will take place in “an alternate reality,” in which humanity has spent the last two decades exploring much about the alien technology first seen in the prequel. As expected, Independence Day 2 will be bringing back characters from the first movie, including former US president Thomas J. Whitmore (played by Bill Pullman) as well as MIT graduate-now cable repairman Dave Levinson (Jeff Goldblum). However, in spite of some recurring characters, it seems like Will Smith will not be returning for his role as Captain Steven Hiller. The movie shall also feature some new characters half of which should make up the cast. Emmerich and Devlin had planned out the Independence Day sequel as a two – part narrative, under the working title ID Forever Part I & II. Emmerich had confirmed, however, that Fox decided to only do the first one for the time being, with James Vanderbilt (White House Down) set to fix the script. That surely is understandable, considering that the blockbuster performance of the first film makes it somehow questionable whether the audience is actually looking forward to a new sequel after so many years. Also, with the number of alien films that had come out in recent years—many of which were not very successful—it is a wonder that the end-of-the-world sub-genre has not yet even felt overused and very much saturated at this point.

Beverly Hills Cop 4 Release Date and Plot: Set to Premiere in March 2016 Plus Detective Foley to go back “to His Detroit Roots”

Beverly Hills Cop 4 Release Date and Plot: Set to Premiere in March 2016 Plus Detective Foley to go back “to His Detroit Roots” Saturday Night Live veteran Eddie Murphy proved his ability to deliver a cinematic leading man role in Beverly Hills Cop amid his rising fame as a comedian thirty years ago. Although he had already shown so much of his promising acting prowess, it was Beverly Hills Cop that provided Murphy with a much bigger venue to showcase what he can do which ultimately propelled his acting career, piling to a pair of sequels for the hit movie and a lot more else through the years. Nowadays, Murphy is more often seen as the family – friendly movie comedian type during his more recent stints in his career. Even so, the popularity of Beverly Hills Cop has continued to endure through the years—even more so its popular detective hero, Axel Foley—which has led to many years of speculation on a probably sequel to the franchise. Finally, those speculations can now be put to rest, as movie producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates Caribbean) has confirmed that the long – awaited Beverly Hills Cop 4 has now been set to debut in the spring of 2016. Reports confirmed that Beverly Hills Cop 4 will premiere on March 25, 2016, with Murphy set to reprise his role, with director Brett Ratner to oversee the direction and screenwriters Andre Nemec and Josh Appelbaum to provide the script. While more solid spoilers have yet to be dug up, the announcement mentions that the movie is supposed to take Foley back “to his Detroit roots.” Will the “Beverly Hills” portion of the title be of any less significance now? Also, will the movie’s screenplay also include stuff from the television adaptation—including Axel Foley’s grown son? Only one way to find out: catch the upcoming Beverly Hills Cop 4 on theaters this coming March 25, 2016.

Family Guy’s The Simpsons Guy Episode, Latest News: See The Griffins Mix It Up And Bond With The Simpsons, Plus A Cameo By Bob of Bob’s Burger on Sept. 28

Family Guy’s The Simpsons Guy Episode, Latest News: See The Griffins Mix It Up And Bond With The Simpsons, Plus A Cameo By Bob of Bob’s Burger on Sept. 28 The Family Guy Season 13 first episode will be a cross-over parody show with The Simpsons. It will be entitled “The Simpsons Guy” and it will air on September 28, 2014, at its regular 9 PM time slot on Fox TV. The Family Guy-Simpsons TV cross-over has been a much talked-about subject on the entertainment circuit ever since Fox unveiled a five-minute teaser trailer of “The Simpsons Guy” episode at last month’s San Diego Comic-Con. Following the screening, Stuart Heritage at the Guardian even went to the extent of saying, “It's impossible to work out why The Simpsons would debase itself by allowing this to happen [since The Family Guy] "is, at heart, a crap Simpsons." But of course, there are far too many more geeks out there who are actually excited to see the show. In the first episode of Family Guy’s Season 13, according to inside sources, Peter Griffins (Seth MacFarlane) and his family will go on a road trip and end up in Springfield, where they will be welcomed by Homer Simpson (Dan Castellaneta). Homer will take and introduce his new “albino” friends to his family. The families get along well: Stewie (MacFarlane) becomes obsessed with Bart (Nancy Cartwright) and his old-fashioned pranks; Lisa (Yeardley Smith) takes Meg (Mila Kunis) under her wing and is determined to find where she can be good at; Marge (Julie Kavner) and Lois (Alex Borstein) ditch housework for some bonding of their own; which leaves Peter and Homer arguing and fighting over whether Pawtucket Patriot Ale or Duff Beer is the best brew in town. The guest stars for “The Simpsons Guy” episode will reportedly be Allison Janney, Lea Thompson, Julie Bowen and Liam Neeson. And there will be a cameo appearance by Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) of Bob’s Burgers, another Fox animated TV sitcom which won the 2014 Emmy for outstanding animated program.

  • Constantine
Constantine TV Series Release Date, Latest News: Set for Oct. 24 Premiere and Green-lit for a Full 2014-2015 Season; But John Constantine Won’t Be Shown as a Bisexual or as a Chainsmoker on TV!

Constantine TV Show Release Date, Latest News: Set for Oct. 24 Premiere and Green-lit for a Full 2014-2015 Season; But John Constantine Won’t Be Shown as a Bisexual or as a Chainsmoker on TV! Constantine, the TV series based on the characters in DC Comics’ Hellblazer comic books, will premiere on October 24, 2014, at the 10 PM Friday time slot on NBC. It stars Matt Ryan as John Constantine, an ex-conman turned demon hunter and master of the darkest occult arts. The pilot episode is directed by Neil Marshall based on a script written by Daniel Cerone and David Goyer. According to NBC’s plot summary, the series will follow Constantine as he “use his skills to travel the country, find the supernatural terrors that threaten our world and send them back where they belong.” In his quest to rid the world of demons and other dark forces, he will be backed by his oldest friend and staunch companion, Chas Chandler (played by Charles Halford) who possesses uncanny, almost supernatural survival skills as well as by the artist Zed Martin (played by Angelica Celaya). He will also be watched over by Manny (played by Harold Perrineau), an angel assigned to him. Lucy Griffiths will guest star in the pilot episode as Liv Aberdeen, the daughter of one of Constantine’s oldest friends who has suddenly become a target for demons because of the unexpected emergence of her “second sight” – an ability to see the worlds behind our world and predict supernatural occurrences. And Constantine must do all he can to protect her. For fans of the Hellblazer comic books, don’t expect a bisexual Constantine in the TV version. As showrunner and script writer Daniel Cerone explained to Entertainment Weekly, “Within this tome of three decades [of comics] there might have been one or two issues where he’s seen getting out of bed with a man. So [maybe] 20 years from now? But there are no immediate plans.” Also, neither will the TV Constantine be shown smoking heavily as he did in the comic books as well as in the 2005 Keanu Reeves movie. Said executive producer David Goyer in the same interview, “He is a smoker in the show, we’re not shying away from it, but we’re not glorifying it.” And Gerone added, “It’s like, look, he’s a smoker. We’re on network television, so we’re limited to what we can do and what we can show. But within that framework we’re going to be very honest to the character … I believe Constantine has a very healthy sex life, we’re not going to see that on TV either.”

We appreciate the critical reviews that we received. And more importantly, it had a very strong digital following,” he added. When it comes to the latest cast, a Raymond J.
