Microsoft’s First Entry to Smartwatch Competition, Already Ahead in the Game with Two-Day Battery Life and Multiple Mobile Platforms

Microsoft’s First Entry to Smartwatch Competition, Already Ahead in the Game with Two-Day Battery Life and Multiple Mobile Platforms Microsoft is soon making their entry in the smartwatch category under CEO Satya Nadella, as its market is predicted to be worth $1.7 billion by next year. Microsoft’s smartwatch is expected to launch within the next few weeks, and although no official announcement has been made, the company is surely targeting the holiday season for the new smartwatch release. It appears that the company wants to go earlier than the anticipated new smartwatch by Apple, as the Apple’s new smartwatch was pushed to a later release, targeting the early 2015. The new Microsoft smartwatch tracks a user’s heart rate and will work with different mobile platforms. The upcoming smartwatch also has an impressive battery life, as it is expected to exceed two days of regular use. This already goes beyond the already reported Galaxy Gear and Moto 360’s battery life, as the two smartwatches only last a full day per charge. Apparently, the upcoming Apple Watch also needs to be charged per night. Forbes was one of the first to report the Microsoft’s upcoming smartwatch, stating in a May article that the company is working on a watch that can work across different mobile platforms, including iPhones, Android devices, and Windows Phones. Other details are yet to be announced. Microsoft is about to compete with the recently unveiled smartwatches, including the smartwatches from Samsung, Motorola, and Apple. Microsoft is likely to win the smartwatch competition as the company is about to offer a smartwatch with two features that are already ahead of the other smartwatches: long battery life and flexibility in mobile platforms.

OnePlus Working with Microsoft on a Windows Phone? OnePlus Director Carl Pei Confirms They’re Not

OnePlus Working with Microsoft on a Windows Phone? OnePlus Director Carl Pei Confirms They’re Not Rumors were going around that OnePlus were working with Microsoft for a Windows Phone of the already known OnePlus One, but this was proven false. OnePlus is about to release their OnePlus One device in India by the end of this December, and they are planning to go straight with the market and not provide pre-orders for the said handset. The price for the handset is already announced to be $325. The rumors of OnePlus and Microsoft collaboration started from the reported article by The Economic Times, as the head of OnePlus Global, Carl Pei, also spoke to the source in an interview. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding there, as later on, Carl Pei clarified with the source that the company wasn’t working on a Windows Phone. “Carl Pei was speaking to the fact that we are open to choice for our users and had even at one point spoken with Microsoft about perhaps having Windows as a choice for install on the One. We have no plans to make a Windows phone”, explained by an OnePlus spokesperson. This means that OnePlus was considering the Microsoft’s OS for their One device, but didn’t mean that the company is planning to work on a Windows Phone device. For the meantime, what is certain is that the OnePlus company is trying to come up with a new OS, and also working on some improvements. The company’s OS team is trying to develop a heavily skinned version of Android, while they are also planning to make CyanogenMod the OS for OnePlus Two.

Paranormal Activity 5 Release Date, Plot and Other News: Paranormal Activity 5 Pushed Back for a 2015 Release and is Given a Name Change

Paranormal Activity 5 Release Date, Plot and Other News: Paranormal Activity 5 Pushed Back for a 2015 Release and is Given a Name Change Horror fans will have to wait a bit more – next year that is – as Paranormal Activity 5’s 2014 release was pushed back to a 2015 release date. According to Paramount, they will instead release Scouts vs Zombies in the place of Paranormal Activity 5. Another change Paramount has done is also to change Paranormal Activity 5’s name to Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension and it will be the sixth in the horror movie installment. Given the new subtitle attachment, viewers can expect a spookier Paranormal Activity 5 plot this time around as the movie will venture further into the unknown – that is the other dimension. Why did the filmmakers take out the 5 from the Paranormal Activity 5? The reason, according to reports, is that they have miscounted the number of sequels they have done to date seeing that they’re actually doing a sixth installment rather than a fifth. But why did they also push back the Paranormal Activity 5 release date? Sources say that filmmakers did this to make way for other horror films such as Ouija, Dracula Untold, Amityville, The Awakening, Annabelle, Horns and many more. Despite the changes, fans can still expect the same old footage approach they have all gone to love about the series in this latest installment. Paranormal Activity 5 will be directed by Gregory Plotkin who had previous worked in the first four films as its editor. The film will also have Katie Featherston back. Catch the Paranormal Activity 5 release on March 13, 2015.

  • Destiny PC
Destiny for PC: When It Will Be Released Still Uncertain

Destiny for PC: When It Will Be Released Still Uncertain Destiny, the online first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Activision, was released September 9 to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms. Despite numerous rumors, Bungie has not officially confirmed that it will be developing a Destiny PC version anytime soon. Erik Hirshberg, the CEO of Activision Publishing, told Polygon during E3 that “developing on PC is a different animal than developing for consoles and so we just want to make sure that we're putting one foot in front of the other and getting it right, and that it's of the highest possible quality. But obviously I see the same things about the natural fit.” Eric Osbourne, senior writer at Bungie, also told IGN: “We haven't said yes, and we haven't said no. The more platforms we take on, the more work it ultimately becomes, and what we don't want is to compromise the core experience on any platforms. We have a lot of people who play on PCs. We have a lot of appetite to build that experience. We haven't announced it yet, but we're looking forward to talking more about that kind of stuff in the future.” So it seems, unless the developer can be certain that the “core experience on any platform” will not be compromised, it won’t be going beyond the talking stage just yet when it comes to the development of a Destiny PC version. As noted by Game Rant, “no PC version at all would be better than just another bad console port.” The Destiny gameplay is essentially an online and multiplayer contest. Having it ported to PC will require Bungie to provide not only additional technical support for the extra platform but also additional infrastructure in the form of new dedicated servers for the PC players since it has to be always connected to the “once central world” through the Internet. Presently, Bungie may not have the resources to cover these hard requirements for the development of a Destiny PC version. “But,” says Polygon, “it's safe to say that one day in the future, PC gamers will get their Destiny.”

Fallout 4: Bethesda Still Mum About Real Status To Date Of Game

Fallout 4: Bethesda Still Mum About Real Status To Date Of Game The official Fallout 4 news is that, officially, there isn’t a Fallout 4 release date just yet. Bethesda Softworks’ game director Todd Howard in an interview back in February said, “We don’t [have a timeframe for our next game announcement], but I think it’s gonna be a while.” To the disappointment of fans, there was no Fallout 4 at E3, and Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines, following the event, even tweeted followers to “ignore everything unless it comes from an official source/channel.” There is no Bethesda-sanctioned Fallout 4 trailer yet, despite what’s being circulated on Youtube and elsewhere. The one thing that is clear though is that there will be a Fallout 4, eventually. As Hines said back in 2008, “The whole reason we went out and acquired the license and that we now own Fallout is that we clearly intended to make more than one.” In fact, Bethesda has late last year already got the name “Fallout 4” for the upcoming game trademarked with the European Union according to an IGN news report. The latest Fallout game, ‘Fallout: New Vegas,’ was released in 2010, with ‘Fallout 3,’ being released in 2008. When it does come out, Fallout 4 would be the first title in the Fallout series to potentially be available on a wider range of consoles, including Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC platforms. As with most next-gen video games now or will soon be on the market, the minimum Fallout 4 system requirements would likely include a Windows Windows Vista (SP2) / Windows 7 (SP1) / Windows 8 OS, an Intel Core2 Duo/AMD Athlon 64 X2 @3GHz, Intel Core i5 @2.4GHz processor, about 4GB RAM memory, Direct X 10 and DirectX 10–compliant, 512MB VRAM graphics and DirectX 10–compliant sound, plus, a 20GB hard drive space.
